History and spirituality are at the core of Georgie Dee’s exploration as an artist. She is passionate about exploring the dualities between Eastern and Western visual language and good and evil. Inspired by the practices of abstraction and iconography, art for Georgie is an educational tool, a vessel to convey important messages.
Born and raised in the Fraser Coast, Georgie obtained a Bachelor in Creative Arts majoring in contemporary visual arts from the University of Southern Queensland. In early 2018, Georgie held her debut solo exhibition at the Hervey Bay Regional Art Gallery. She is an active member of the Fraser Coast Art Collective, is a visual art teacher at TAFE Wide Bay and is currently represented by Fraser Coast Art Gallery & Academy where she also teaches weekly drawing classes.
